Ford-Fing-Aston!! I seriously think I love every single man JA Huss writes up. And they always have issues (so far anyway). I mean, I love me some Vaughn Asher and I can't wait for some more James Fenici. I was introduced to JA Huss books by reading Come and Come Back. But Ford is different, one minute you think he's this total ass and the next, you completely feel for him and want to hold him. He's weird, he's a genius, he's everything and I'm super in love with all of that. He's a roller coaster, and I enjoyed the ride.

Slack was interesting, getting a look into Ford's day and his "pets". Ford is one funny dude and his inner monologue to himself is outstanding! Being a reader of Come and Come Back, I loved seeing Sasha in Slack. Totally get why she is so in love with him now. Even though Tragic, Manic and Panic are on my list for next reads (yes, super backwards of me, I know) it was cool to get an idea of the whole Rook relationship and who the rest of the team was. I'm super excited to learn more about Spencer and Ronin.

Taut was AMAZING!!! It was filled with so many good things, it had emotion in it, Ford and Ashleigh were funny towards each other, they were cruel to each other but they were sweet at times. I really liked getting to know their story and what made them who they are. Because once you figure out why Ford is the way he is, you start to really understand him and if I'm being honest, I became completely defensive on his part when Rook, Ronin and Spencer had the nerve to be upset with what he did. Yes, he may have handled Rook wrong but he deserves to be happy and I'm totally going to walk in the the Rook and Ronin series super biased towards Ford now. But I'll try hard not to.

I loved every minute of reading Taut because watching their relationship grow to something amazing really tugged on my heart strings. It all did. You can see Ford start to loosen his defenses and his walls start to come down for Ashleigh. And you can see her want to tell him the truth so badly and really let him in for good. And baby Kate!!! Adorable! Best HEA so far, true story. So get yourself reading all these awesome books already. I can promise you won't regret it.

I loved this book. It hit home with some real life issues. It had the perfect amount of romance, sex and adventure. This book was one of the warmer books (as compared to scorching hot) by this author. I very much enjoyed a change from my typical preference of violence and graphic sex and adventure. Any one looking for a more warm and fuzzy book with some adventure and realism, this is hte book for you. This might also be the book you should purchase along with a box of tissues.
After reading about him in the Rook and Ronin series I was glad to learn that JA Huss has written his story. I liked Ford. He was odd, loyal, strange, has a sense of humour in his own way. He was a great character. I loved his book because I felt I got to know him and understand him better. He turned out to be an epic hero, and I loved his relationship with Ashley. Ashley was vibrant, strong, self rescuing and a perfect match for Ford,.

I liked no correction I Loved this book. Gripping from start to finish. Ford held me captive. Not in an I love him way but a best friend way. This book is yet another favourite of mine by JA Huss and I will re read this again.
I enjoyed these spin offs better than I did the actual series (Rook & Ronin). That is not saying I didn’t love that series. I did, I just liked the spin offs better ;o)

Let’s be honest, we LOVE F.O.R.D. He was the “black horse/sheep” in that series who stole the show. I’m not sure he was supposed to, but the facts are the facts; and he did! So to get an entire book about HIM, come on, Puh-Lease, you knew it was gonna be good!
So what we get in this book are answers. Answers to who Ford is, why he is the way he is and hear his HEA. Because despite what the other characters in the books say or how they feel about OUR FORD, he does deserve his HEA.

I liked Ashleigh a lot. Right from the get go, ya know. I think these 2 dark characters are perfect for each other. You get what you expect when you read this book, I mean besides the plot twist, and s***. If you have taken this very long journey with JA Huss regarding these characters, then you can expect, brilliant writing, twists and turns that you cannot predict, hot sex, and alpha males until the very end!
I am really enjoying this series. I love how original it is. And I can't say this enough, I love the characters. They are so not perfect, but you can't help but root for them.

This book included Ford's novella, which walks you through a day in his life. It was a pretty sad day for him and you got to get into his mind and what he really thinks of himself. You also get to see how he feels and sees Rook. It was an interesting view of a day of the life of Ford Aston and helped set up his story. I do not want to say more, because you really need to read it for yourself.

Taut, which was Ford's full story had me really torn. On the one hand, I was so mad at him for how he was treating Rook. She did not deserve it. I get how he was feeling and get why he reacted the way he did, because he did not know how to handle these new emotions, but she just did not deserve it.

But we also got to see a whole new side of Ford. Don't get me wrong, he was still Ford, but we got to see a softer, caring side of him and I think there really was no other way to go. Ashleigh and Kate are all alone and lost and have no where else to go or anyone to turn too. Somehow these two find each other and help each other in a way they both needed.

You will love Ford's story and his journey to find himself and with that, how to be there for someone else.

You need to go read this series! Start with Rook and Ronin and keep reading it It is so worth it.
